One of our more unusual projects has been the extensive refit of the river cruiser ‘Cariad’ (which incidentally is Welsh for ‘sweetheart’).
The series of photos below show her arrival at Fox’s, looking a bit sorry for herself, through to her commissioning and departure looking resplendent.
This residential canal barge underwent a complete external transformation. Paintwork was stripped back to bare metal, epoxy coated and re-sprayed, whilst all windows were replaced with new. Our team laid Flexiteek synthetic decking to all deck areas including the upper deck.
Fox’s stainless department were kept busy custom making a new push pit, some elaborate guard rails, bimini frame and a bathing platform.
Below decks the heads have been given a revamp and there is more internal work planned for the winter months.
